Built in 1935 Rummy III a Hyland Marine TSDY built by Staniland of Thorne has had an interesting life mainly on the East Coast. During World War II she served as HQ to the officer commanding air sea rescue and was later converted for fire ship duties. During a recent change of ownership and subsequent survey she has had to undergo a major refit as indicated by the photographic record. A new apron, transom and beam shelves along with new decks, re-built engines, a total re-wire and new plumbing coupled with sympathetic restoration of all existing fittings will mean that when launched she will be one of the finest examples of a Hyland afloat today.
